IRNA CEO calls on Asian news agencies to reflect truth about US-Israeli war on Iran
TEHRAN- The CEO of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) has sent a letter to the CEOs of Asian news agencies, calling for efforts to reflect the realities and voice of the Iranian people amid widespread propaganda by Western media.
In his letter, Hossein Jaberi Ansari denounced the US-Israeli aggression as a violation of established norms, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
“The aggressors, not only martyred the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and a number of Iranian officials, but also deliberately targeted non-military targets to inflict the maximum pain and casualties on the people of Iran,” he noted.
“On the first day of this terrorist attack, they targeted a primary school in Minab city in southern Iran, resulting in the death of at least 175 student girls, teachers, and school staff.”
The aggressors, he went on, also attacked several sports complexes in the following days and targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) to prevent the dissemination of news related to their war crimes.
Jaberi Ansari added that in such circumstances, the mainstream media in the West do not reflect the true picture of the developments in this cruel war, and instead, they mostly publish the war propaganda of the Israeli regime and the United States.
